So, we have both had some major changes in our lives lately and I decided to write about them. You might think getting married would be the biggest change but surprisingly its not! Being married feels really natural for us! Luckily we have known each other for a really long time and so being together a lot doesn't make us too crazy! But oh my, there are so many other changes in our lives! I'll make a list, because I really like lists.
Big Change #1: Moving to Cedar City is a huge change for us considering Colton just got back from Little Rock, Arkansas, and I have lived in the warm sunny Mesquite, Nevada. Apparently, we decided to move during the coldest winter Cedar City has had since 1990! kill me. I am a desert rat. plain and simple. I like to be in the hot summer sun. This weather has me going crazy.. Here is a sad story that happened to me...try not to judge because Colton informed me that this is quite the rookie mistake.. I was on my way to work and the low of the night had been -16. You heard right.. -16... so anyway, obviously there was ice on the windshield... so I did what I thought anyone would do, I turned on the wipers. Wow. Who would have thought? It broke right in half and flew off my car to never be seen again. Looks like we need new windshield wipers... Anyway, the only other thing I can think that is different than what I am use to is EVERYONE is late, EVERYWHERE. There is no sense of urgency here, which in some ways is nice and some ways makes me crazy!
Big Change # 2: PCOS (polysistic Ovarian Syndrom) and exercising and crap. This has not been a big change for Colton, but it has really made a big change in my life. Recently I was told I had PCOS, and if you read on the internet, its a chronic disease that can sound kind of scary.. but It really is not that big of a deal if you just take care of it. I don't want to explain it all, but the main thing is I have to eat a pretty strict diet and exercise a lot or else I will have to deal with excess facial hair.. acne.. infertility and a bunch of other stupid stuff. So I have decided to take this pretty seriously and get my body into shape. I will tell you the truth.. It is not easy.. but it is so worth it. I feel a million times better eating this way and exercising. Even though my exercise is kind of pathetic. :) Anyway I am glad I have some motivation because honestly I am not like the runner eat perfect kind of person so its good to have something for force me to be that way!
Big Change #3: Since we have moved we both have got jobs! Which is such a blessing... Colton's cousins Naomi and Kyle really hooked Colton up with an awesome Job... He works at the University doing event set up and cleaning up around school. It is really nice because it works with his school schedule and its way easy work... The only thing he does not like is that he has to wake up at @ 5:30 AM to be at work on time. This is such a big change from Coltons last job at kokopelli, He really loves having a job that doesn't require breaking your back. My job is new as well! I work at a cute little salon called "Luxe." It is so different from my old salon in Mesquite. I am not going to lie I sure miss "The View." I had so many great friends there and loved my boss so much! The new place is great though! I like it, I will get use to how small it is and I know I need to be patient while building a clientele. My brother in law Chris Phillips made me the cutest business cards so I am excited about that!
So anyway, even though it feels like sooo much is going right now, We are so happy together and learning how to have fun with all this CHANGE:)
